Adult Sessions
Interested in rowing without a membership? We are committed to bringing the sport of rowing to everyone who wants to learn, train and compete. We understand that a membership might not be right for everyone, and we are proud to offer our programs by session. Our sessions members get the same high caliber programing coached by the same coaches without the long term commitment!
Adult Learn to Row
It is always a good time to try something new! We offer learn to row classes for adults starting in April through the end of September. These classes are perfect for those with no experience with the sport and offer an introduction to the sport of rowing with a focus on terminology, the basics of the rowing stroke, technical skills-building, and rowing together in team boats.
Adult Winter Session Program Information
We are excited to be offering winter training at our new gym space located at 141 Damon Rd. in Northampton. We are will be offering strength training in combination with erg sessions for each practice throughout the winter.
For athletes on a 12-month membership, winter training is included in your payment plan. For those on a 7-month membership and those paying session-to-session, the cost for each of our two winter sessions is $346.

Adult Learn to Row
Adult Learn to Row Level 1
Prerequisite: None
Our eight week learn-to-row program will offer an introduction to the sport of rowing and will focus on terminology, the basics of the rowing stroke, technical skills-building, and rowing together in team boats.
Program Dates: April 28th - June 18th | June 23th - August 13th | August 18th - October 8th
Practice Times: Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30am - 7:30am

Adult Teams
Adult Learn to Row Level 2
Prerequisite: Learn to Row Level 1
Learn to row Level 2 is an eight week program designed for those who have already completed Learn to Row level 1, allowing them to build upon their basic rowing skills by focusing on more advanced techniques. The goal of this program is to continue improving rowing skills allowing for a smooth transition to the club team.
Program Dates: April 28th - June 18th | June 23th - August 13th | August 18th - October 8th
Practice Times: Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30am - 7:30am

Masters Competitive Rowing - Experience Required
Our masters competitive program is geared toward adult athletes who are interested in representing Northampton Community Rowing at local and regional regattas. Athletes will be expected to commit to planned on-the-water practices, as well as additional workouts on non-practice days.
Participants on the competitive team must demonstrate a strong commitment to racing, technical ability, fitness, sportsmanship and mental preparedness. Athletes will be boated for practices and races at their coaches’ discretion.
**NOTE: Competitive rowers will pay an additional fee for regatta attendance.

Masters Club Rowing - Experience Required
Our masters club rowing program is for experienced rowers who are interested in recreational and fitness-based workouts in team boats. This session will consist of on-the-water practices, as well as occasional land-based workouts. At least one year of rowing experience is required to attend this program.
Masters Club Rowing Experience Required
Practice Times: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 5:30am - 7:30am
Masters Novice Rowing - Prerequisite: Learn to Row Level 2
Our adult rowing program for returning novices will consist of on-the-water practices, as well as occasional land-based workouts. Participants with at least one season but less than one year of on-the-water rowing experience are eligible for this program.
